more like three weeks...23 days, in exactly 23 days I will officially have my college degree. well, ok, I won't officially have my degree until 3 or 4 months later when they confer it, but I will have done the walk-across-the-stage-and-shake-the-president's-hand thing, so I say it's official enough. I'm scared.

at what point should I begin to freak out about not having any job prospects after graduation?

after four years of incessant planning, next-stepping, and anal retentive worrying about my future, I find myself with no idea what I am going to do next. I officially did not get an interview to the SDHE program at CSULB.

If I hadn't all but abandoned teaching high school as a career, the class I'm taking now would have done it. We have to grade papers from 10th and 11th graders, and some of them are just horrid. I just submitted my grad school app...now, mind you, this is only the first step of this tedious process. I submitted the application asking the university to let me back in as a grad student. I think I'm having a breakdown, not the cutesy, "oh I'm so stressed..." kind of breakdown, but I am nearing a very real physical and emotional crash.
