if i didn't think the education at PSU blew total balls I would leave in a heart beat.
I have a lot of friends that go to PSU. While I'm sure U of O is better, PSU seems like a pretty good school. All my friends that have gone there are pretty happy with it. Could you just leave for a term and check it out?
Also, I felt like that constantly in college. Nothing felt like home anymore. Even after 2 years in PDX, it didn't quite feel like home. I think it is, unfortunately, just an effect of youth and transcience. But, now, after being here for nearly 4 years, it definitely feels like home.
There is nothing in the world like coming home to Chicago. Chicago will always be home. It's a city that is very hard to leave so I give you huge props for leaving but I know the feeling of having to "start over" with new friends etc. b/c I had to even in my hometown! But eventually everything starts to feel the same again...and that's kind of the reason why it's taken me so long to move on from here, I've always known that I would always have that sense of longing for Chicago. Man, I hope this doesn't sound like a total downer. In conclusion, you can take the girl out of Chicago but you can never take the Chicago out of the girl.
