Where I Stood - Chapter One: What I Wanted To Say [Skins; Naomi/Emily]

Nov 02, 2009 18:32

Okay, so this is my first real attempt to grasp Skins by the horns and play around with a few of their characters, and I'm both excited and nervous so :) The title for the story is a Missy Higgins song, but each chapter will have a title based off a song by a different artist (I wasn't hardcore enough to write my way through an entire album) and ( Read more... )

emily/naomi, where i stood, emily fitch, fandom: skins, naomi campbell

*sniff* this was just so sad...
oh why oh why did naomi have to go and just be so damn scared and let emily walk away?
i liked it a lot even though it was sad... great job!

Thank you so much :) I wish Naomi hadn't been so scared too, but I think Emily had to show some develop and finally say "enough's enough" and start wanting more for herself because she really does deserve it.

I think you'll see how Naomi develops throughout the next chapter :)

Thanks again!

Aww poor you having to venture off to college on this horrible morning :( Hope your sexayyyy secretary business uniform doesn't get too wet (by the way are you wearing white? Because that can be a treat for the people in your class if you do get a tad damp ;p)

Thanks for the comment Jlo :)

Catch up with you laters hopefully! Have a good day!

Right! I have a few things to say… 

How could Emily possibly have known? - when it’s all come as such a terrifying shock to her? - Yes, this. Well, it’s something I pondered on, and it might be that I’m a little dense but… at what point did Emily figure this out?! I mean, she must have some mystical Effy inside her somewhere but she did just kind of know and I could imagine that it would have freaked Naomi out, really, that Emily had been able to see something that she wasn’t even aware of herself.

Naomi doesn’t know how to put it into words, that something about them isn’t right. Doesn’t think Emily would hear her even if she could communicate her worries. In the end, she chooses not to say anything at all. - This sounds like a very cowardly Naomi to me, kind of like the one we saw for most of the series. Emily might have actually listened, or perhaps she just would have gotten cross that Naomi is still unsure but it’s the fact that, here, Naomi has already given up. She’s wanting the situation to improve without actually doing ( ... )

I think I'd like to see them explain WHAT actually made Emily fall for Naomi in the first place because they weren't friends, and besides from that one little kiss they shared in middle school, they never really explained what it was that had Emily so mesmerised by the wonder that is Naomi Campbell ( ... )

Uggg this is heartbreaking, but i really like it so far. I like how you made it to show us how the year passes for them, how their relationship starts and how it ends, and i'm excited to see how their lifes are going to be now that they are far from each other.
I liked Naomi in this part. She's coward and fearful, and so different from other Naomis i've read before, that i'm really looking forward to see how you are going to develope her character.
Plus, i love the song. Great job!

Sorry if my comment doesn't make sense, i'm not used to comment in english :P

Thanks again!
