Where I Stood - Chapter One: What I Wanted To Say [Skins; Naomi/Emily]

Okay, so this is my first real attempt to grasp Skins by the horns and play around with a few of their characters, and I'm both excited and nervous so :) The title for the story is a Missy Higgins song, but each chapter will have a title based off a song by a different artist (I wasn't hardcore enough to write my way through an entire album) and

I kind of really wanted to punch Naomi in this fic, but it's good because it was spot on to how Naomi probably really should act in the pieces between S3 and S4.

Throughout the entire chapter I had that tight queezy feeling in my stomach, like I actually was there, feeling those feelings which was pretty damn cool. (although i do feel a bit embarrased now looking back)

I really love your writing. More so than most Skins writers so huge massive kudos on that. Another amazing fic. God knows how you do it.

In some sense, I really want to see you fuck it up, or mess a chapter up or even a paragraph just to prove that you're human and feel better about my own work....but you never do. Each word, phrase is perfectly chosen, and...I'm massively starting to ramble.

Um, yeah great chapter. Great new story. Great characterisations. Spot on.

Aww I'm sorry I left you with that horrible feeling in your stomach and that slight desire to punch Naomi. It was horrible actually having to write them falling apart and trying to let go of my desperation for them to be happy and actually work (but I really hope they are and do on the show!)

Haha, aww hun, don't worry, I'm nowhere near perfect! This fic is taking a lot of planning and writing and rewriting. It's been a lot more difficult than the writing rpf, and I'm just hoping I won't disappoint as this goes on.

Yay for more Missy fans :) I'm glad you like this particular song because it really was the first basic inspiration for this fic.

So glad you love Naomi! I think people are feeling a little annoyed with her in this for being so unable to just relax into a relationship with Emily, but I hope as the next few chapters arrive, it'll be easier to see where she was coming from.

Holy Mother of Meg!! You did it *hugs* our Naomi can´t let go her fears, can she? that girl is a lost case and for my own good, I just hope that at S4 we won´t see that ;) because I can take you in your fic but seeing it is an old different thing =)
well done my friend and I can´t wait to see what will happen to them at uni, but please, give to Emily some love, she needs and deserves, our little Ems is the perfect girlfriend and someone has to cherish her for that ;)
At some points, I wanted to kill you Jess, coz Naomi was getting on my nerves and Emily was soooooooo needy that I wanted to slap her, but after I understand the whole thing (Naomi is a lonely wolf and it´s a shit in love´s department and Emily is the opposite), those bad feelings for you were over LOL now it´s only love for you but update soon ;)

I'm so glad you're joining me on my Emily/Naomi adventure (love the kat in devil horns icon btw ;)) Naomi is definitly a lost cause in this so far, she still doesn't understand exactly all of the feelings she has for Emily and how them being so overwhelming may not be so much of a bad thing.

[I hope we don't see this in S4 either, I hope they're happy!]

I couldn't possibly tell you what's to come later on, except this will be told from Naomi's POV but will have two Emily interludes scattered in between certain chapters, so hopefully you'll be curious to see what different paths they both took during their time apart.
