I was nostalgic from a very early age

Updates, in the ever popular bullet form:

  • Life's been unbearably boring as of late.  I can't even think of things to post or tweet or tumbl or comment or whatever, and I feel like I'm talking/staring into a giant void.  everything is boring, boring, boring. I've been making vidlets nonstop though, for some reason. There was the Glee one I posted ( Read more... )

I cannot even imagine Fellowship being 10 years old. I just can't. I still remember seeing it in the theaters on opening day, it cannot be 10 yrs old haha.

and that sounds like an awesome way to celebrate! seriously, bring on the theme parties. I was thinking of marathoning the whole trilogy some time this month, just because it's been years since I've seen the whole thing.

edit: actually, do you have a certain recipe you use for lembas? Because the two I've used are just awful.

I miss having a *fandom* in general. There's a whole of shows I like but not a lot I'm fannish about.

Me toooo. All my fandoms kind of died out (Arrested Development got cancelled, Harry Potter ended, Heroes turned to shit) and I lost the passion for reading fic and participating in discussions. I still do occasionally for some shows, but it's more like, drop a comment and get on with my life. I guess in some ways it's better not to be so obsessive and into fandom anymore, but at the same time, those times were the best times. So, yeah. I'm wishing something will come along that we can all form a giant, passionate LOTR/HP-ish fandom over again.

booo I had a long comment here and LJ ate it, but to sum it up: yesss, exactly. I miss having a megafandom to be giddy in, even though I know it's probably better for me know that I'm not quite so obsessed anymore. But it was fun.
