New Vid: The Un-American (Smallville, Gen mostly)

I haven't made a new vid in over 2 years, but I love this song and I love the VRA storyline on Smallville and it fit pretty perfectly IMHO. The vid is pretty meta as vids go, and I draw parallels to the real life heroes and villains of the McCarthy era. I am seriously the worst fandom friend ever because I am finally seeing this now. It's fabulous! You know I Agree with you that Smallville isn't often given credit for the little things that they weave into the story. I love what you did here! And I miss you!

*tackles you* You're not a bad fandom friend! I'm glad you got to watch the vid (I made it while home sick last week :p). I love that Smallville is using this subject matter and in a way much different than others have done it (Watchmen, New Frontier, Civil War) because Smallville is using it to show why we need a hero with a face that the public can trust rather than to say how much the world sucks. Because unfortunately public opinion DOES matter and Clark/The Blur/Superman will need it on his side in order to be that hero AND have a private life.

Anyway, HOW ARE YOU?!

I like the VRA stuff on Smallville too. It's interesting.

I'm doing ok. I've been sick too. Actually I'm home sick today. My asthma has been horrible lately but luckily I've got an appointment with a new specialist tomorrow to hopefully get some new inhalers that might help. My Dad is coming through his treatments well. He's been very sick but he's hanging in there! Sis had her baby 3 weeks early and I have the most beautiful little niece now!!!

We have to catch up via PM in the next few days. I need to hear what's going on in your life woman!
