I haven't made a new vid in over 2 years, but I love this song and I love the VRA storyline on Smallville and it fit pretty perfectly IMHO. SV often doesn't get enough credit (even from its fans) for the ideas and realities it plays around with. And this VRA storyline appeals to me because it's so real, and it's part of histories of countries the world over. I wish the show could focus more on it, to be honest, but the seeds really were set as far back as season 8, and really even further than that to the strange happenings in Smallville and obviously the JSA etc. etc.
So this was awesome. So awesome. And I'm so excited to read your META because it will be brilliant.

Pay attention because this is serious stuff". I love the VRA storyline and it's parallels to historical events DOES make it more real. As real as a story about an alien superhero could make it, because if superpowered heroes really did exist, hell yeah something like a VRA would happen as soon as they went public. And the fact that Smallville isn't necessarily painting it in strokes of black and white, but showing both sides not just with heroes vs. villains, but with showing us people like Sam Lane and Cat Grant who are obviously NOT bad guys but believe in this legislation with good reason ( ... )
