Meet Bluebird

Weight: unknown (ever try to weigh a wiggly raptor?)
Features: Born in the Wellington Zoo under the care of Abby Maitland, Connor Temple, and Danny Quinn, Bluebird had entered the world already a miracle. She was the third in the klutch to break through her egg and was the only one to show distinct feather colors within a few days of birth. Though she was not the only pyroraptor of the klutch to be bear the brilliant blue headdress the fact that she was the first to have this trait apparent in her feathers made her notable. Out of her four brothers and sisters, Bluebird has the softest feathers. She also has the most gentle disposition, enabling her to be quickly accepted by the entire team (Lester included).
Flaws: Quiet and shy typically keeps this pyroraptor out of trouble however when she is kidnapped by Danny Quinn's nemisis, Captain Eli Strong these are not able to help her. Through torture at the hands of the merciless Captain Strong, Bluebird winds up with a gimp and is nearly killed when the building catches on fire and collapses. She had refused to leave Danny as he was unconscious in the building, thus inflicting her with smoke inhilation. As a result of the trauma Bluebird trusts only Danny and will scoot away from even Abby.
Strengths: Being small and cute has its benefits. Even Lester finds it difficult to scold a feathery raptor who has found his stack of papers under his lamp to be the perfect resting place. Being part of the dromaesaurs, Bluebird is a naturally gifted predator. As she gets older and her skills develop she will be a great asset to the team, protecting them from other creatures who come through the anomalies. Bluebird also has an unflinching and unconditional devotion to her guardian, Danny Quinn.
Skills: Before the incident with Captain Strong, Bluebird was a swift predator who could wrestle even with her eldest brother, the dominating Basil. However with the gimp Bluebird's speed and agility have been greatly reduced. She makes up for this in becoming an early warning system for intruders. Her feats in this area include warning Lester of an invading bug and challenging Connor when he comes into the pen.
Worthy to Mention: Being completely committed to her task of serving as Danny's animal guide, Bluebird often follows him around. She prefers his company over her family's and will often find herself trailing various members of the team before scurrying off to be near Danny. Often Bluebird can be found sleeping in Danny's jacket if he leaves it where she can pull it to the floor. If ignored for an extended period of time Bluebird will making "barking" noises to attract attention. She also can be playful and nip at fingers though the little dromaesaur is not nearly as playful as she used to be before her injury. It is unknown if she will ever fully recover.
