I think Peter can absorb powers Sylar has ingested - based on Peter's use of Telekinesis in the fight with Sylar a week or two ago in the Professor's apartment.

Well, Sylar did use telekinesis the first time he met Peter. So that meets the criteria for absorbing an ability that he's actively using.

Yeah, there's an interesting little catch-22:

In the future, future Hiro didn't know that Claire had been saved. Which means when future Hiro stabbed "Sylar" in the past, it had to be Peter whom he stabbed. Since future Hiro assumed that Sylar survived because he had absorbed Claire abilities, it may mean that Claire was always going to escape Sylar in the past even without future Hiro's intervention, or alternatively, that future Hiro's intervention had already occured. Time travel makes a mess of everything.

Also, did you notice the Haitian has two different powers dampening and memory editing? As far as I know, the only other people with more than one power are Sylar and Peter, though Claude did make that one reference that might be other people with similar abilities.

The future was definitely odd.

Power damping and memory editing may be two sides of the same power coin: they're both denying someone access to parts of their brain. He can do power-damping passively, but memory editing takes focus and concentration.

Could be, if his power is something like "manipulate other people's brains". It would fit with how Claire and Peter were both almost killed. It implies that anything that interferes with the brains operation interferes with all of their super-powers.

This also fits with Sylar's ability to absorb other powers by doing something with his victim's brains.

Sylar definitely eats the brains to gain the powers; when Mohinder had him tied down he said he wanted the list to "sink his teeth in".

Grunbert pronounced "haitian" funny. I thought he was talking about someone else.

It was amusing that the two telepathic characters were for DHS. So, basically, they were psicops.

Thank you for pointing out where the freezing powers came from. I'd forgotten that aspect of the Molly Walker case. And the Sylar swerve was EXCELLENT.

I think he may have acquired the freeze power before he killed Molly's parents, since he used it on her father, unless he used it on his post-mortem, or if it backfired on him when he tried to use it on Sylar.

I wonder what her power's going to be.

True, although we've not seen him go critical, so it's possible he can only go nuke once.
