After wading through yet another attack of commentologically transmitted stupidity, I found myself wondering about a question. And, since I'm paying to be able to make polls, I thought I would.

I used to do two as that was my early training, but as it is no longer necessary I've been retraining myself to do only one.

I was taught 2, but that was still in the aftermath of mechanical typewriters; these days I am lead to believe one will do.

I was trained to do two when I took typing class on typewriters, and it was considered correct all the way through my education. Now that the standard has changed to one, I generally manage one space. But I like the two spaces, dammit, and have voted accordingly!

I always type two, but alas, LJ shortens it to one anyway, so I'm just wasting energy. Still, habit's habit.
