The Ghostbusters theme may have been his only Number One hit on the "main" chart, but it wasn't his only time on the chart by a long shot, and he'd previously had a number one hit on the R&B chart. So he's not even close to a one-hit wonder. Here is a list of bigger one-hit wonders, IMHO...

Yeah, he's not remotely a one-hit wonder. He had a ton of hits with his band Raydio (including two in the top ten), and he had eight Top 40 hits before "Ghostbusters" (three in the top ten) and two after "Ghostbusters".
