This story evokes a genuine, feel-good, warm-fuzzies kind of smile for me. Thanks for sharing. (despite the fact that strawberries and bananas might be some of the few foodstuffs, alongside chocolate of course, that could make ommlettes edible to my palate. Ommelette=peanut butter)

You're welcome! Sorry about any possible gag reflexes that may have occurred. Hopefully the bananas made up for it. Lam has been craving bananas for the last month. I'm starting to wonder if his potassium is low.

Side note - I had an encounter today with a Chinese postal worker where I gave her a bubble wrap envelope to mail a calligraphy couplet to the USA which totally freaked her out. Apparently not all envelopes are alike and a Chinese person would never use bubble envelopes to mail paper (despite the fact the envelope came to me as the packaging for an exhibition catalog). Crossed some mental boundaries for her, but eventually got the stamps. We'll see if it ends up in the USA at my aunts where I intended it to go.

Ooooh. . . Chinese omelettes? The mind boggles!

I can think of some cool Thai omelettes, spicy and curried, or maybe mellow and herby. . . . Hmmm. . . .

Having lived with you for many years, it says a lot that someone can unwind your crank in the morning ;-).
