April is Poetry Month

Okay, so here's the deal. I'm taking a poetry class at my college and one of our alternative assignments (instead of doing a paper) is to do a poem-a-day challenge for April that's based off of this blog. I decided to do all of my poems either from Joker's point of view, or about him and what he might think.

And when will this
finally get to be
so tiresome,
so worrisome,
so bothersome
that one of us
will declare it
the end?

There is something exhausting in the repetitive nature of the Joker's interactions with Batman. He commits crimes, Batman puts him away, he escapes and commits crimes, and so on and so forth. For it to end, really end, it has to be in death of some kind, and so it's either continue the endless round, or kill or be killed.

Yes, it is this vicious cycle, and my Joker realizes this. But denies it at the same time. Doesn't want to look a gift horse in the mouth, so to speak.

I think first person spec. is my number 1 fav., but generally they're all good.

Here to show that
not
all
jokes
are
funny.

I like how the final message has a line for each word, to drive the point home.

None are my own, none my choice.
I do not even know,
Cannot remember who I
Really am.

I love that--how Joker himself doesn't know...
