Thank you :) China has been great for my Chinese, not so good for my lungs :p When you visit do you usually stay around Shanghai, or travel? I haven't really been anywhere besides Beijing and Shanghai. Are you or your family coming in for the Olympics?

Anything new and/or exciting happening in your life, which is still in DC, right?

Mostly I tend to stick around Shanghai/Beijing when I visit China. I doubt I'll be heading up to Beijing for the Olympics this year. China's packed with people enough and my distaste for crowds would probably limit my enjoyment. The funny thing is that the air in China's much cleaner than it used to be, though that's not really saying himself.

My life is boring these days. Mostly involving work around DC and WoW.

ooo you've been to Beijing? I didn't know! Any advice on places I should visit besides the big obvious ones? I still haven't visited the great wall, to tell the truth... >.>

I don't really like crowds that much, either, but I think that being in China has helped me get over that a bit. OMG spring festival at a temple so many people. However, I think that being there for the olympics will be exciting and AWESOME and historic and represent a lot of biomass and culture conflict in one place, something I probably won't get to experience again in my lifetime, especially from the perspective of a foreigner.

boring can be good: stable, secure, relaxed. And tyler and I have moved on from playing WoW to magic, which I have discovered can be just as much of a time suck. instead of traveling, it's just be trying to understand the rules. :q

Life is pretty okay! I am finished with school forever, but I'm still trying to find employment. Things with Annie are pretty good, but there's some uncertainty as to where I'll be living after the bar exam due to the above problem.

Also, I was unable to send you a postcard in return, because I didn't know what address would reach you. I fail!

Thank you :D

How are you? What's new? I haven't talked to you in forever and a day. How're you and D? When will the move take place? I'm so happy for you two. Yinz should come visit me in China :P What's it like having half of pittsburgh migrate to SFO? How is planning for dpbcon going? I think it is kind of ironic that I am actually in the States over memorial day weekend this year (but I'm going to VA again with Tyler to see his family)... Maybe i'll just have to start planning my own personal OBX trip :p

I hope you are awesommmeeee. I send my love!

california is great! i'm moving in with a bunch of people i know through work, but akiva and boriss are moving to san francisco soon so i'm excited to be near them!

my job is great! the stuff i'm working on is really fun and my coworkers are cool. palo alto is weird. a bit like squirrel hill but much bigger.. there are sections with houses and sections with shops.

i actually just moved to a big house with lots of people so i'm really excited for a place a bit like sherbrook, bustling all the time.

i cut all my hair off! it's super short now but natural colored... i am getting a bit bored with it so i think i'll have to dye it something really bright soon.

Thank you :D your icon is awesome and the bestest possible icon evar. I want carrot cake now. >_>

How've you been? I just skimmed through your journal and you changed jobs? How was that? It sounds like old co. was jerks about it. Do you like your new work place? When I was in China I saw lots of Chickens!... mostly for eating, but a few were just hopping around people's houses picking through the garbage. I got a few pictures of the garbage chickens -- they were HUGE.

I hope everything has settled down for you and is exciting and stress free. And thanks again. :)

boo old company. yay new job that you actually really like! yay close to home! yay good people! Even though the process wasn't so smooth for you I'm glad you're now at a place that you really like :) I have many pictures to post but I am a lazy butt. >_> but when I get around to it you will see garbage chickensss.

I'm sorry that you lost Bonnie :\ All of your girls are such sweeties. What is the genetic thing? Is it from poor management of the breeding stock? Can you complain to the breeder so they stop breeding and selling sick chickens? That's really a shame :( At least it isn't something that can spread to the rest of the flock. I send hugs and love to you and your birds.

China is pretty amazing, though the best things about it are that the prices are all really cheap and it's a great place to learn Chinese.
