I hope Julian finds a way to compile his choices into a book. I'm very curious to see what pics he would choose. His reasoning behind each one would be a fascinating read.
I would buy it... and would hope it would be a massive printing if all or part of the proceeds went to Julian's foundation.
I saw somewhere someone comment that John's hands were nothing special, and couldn't understand what Paul saw in them. The pic above says it all.
Most every pic of John with a guitar, he has his fret hand in specific chord positions... whether he's playing or not. He rarely just grips the neck and stands there. I think that's what Paul liked. John's musician hands. Even his right hand is supercool when he palms the pick.
He did, and it makes sense. It was his fingernails chopped off as short as he could get them. They interfere with a lot of guitar players' fretting hands. So, yes, they looked very rough.
I'm a fan of Rodin, and his obsession with hands. He would have loved to do a study on guitar players' hands; the different looks they have when moving about on a fret board. *sigh* He missed out.

George's hands appeared elegant to me. They don't appear (at least to me) to be rough looking.
Never really noticed Paul or Ringo's hands.
