AND. That pic.

I saw somewhere someone comment that John's hands were nothing special, and couldn't understand what Paul saw in them. The pic above says it all.

Most every pic of John with a guitar, he has his fret hand in specific chord positions... whether he's playing or not. He rarely just grips the neck and stands there. I think that's what Paul liked. John's musician hands. Even his right hand is supercool when he palms the pick.

Even though John hated manual labor. He had the hands of someone who appeared to work tough jobs. Does that make any sense?

He did, and it makes sense. It was his fingernails chopped off as short as he could get them. They interfere with a lot of guitar players' fretting hands. So, yes, they looked very rough.

I'm a fan of Rodin, and his obsession with hands. He would have loved to do a study on guitar players' hands; the different looks they have when moving about on a fret board. *sigh* He missed out.

John had interesting hands to me because of the rough appearance to them.

George's hands appeared elegant to me. They don't appear (at least to me) to be rough looking.

Never really noticed Paul or Ringo's hands.

Good point. John's hands only appear elegant in the least when he is playing the guitar. Otherwise he could be a Liverpudlian dock worker!!

George had very long and strong looking hands, where John's seem a bit on the squat side. Paul? Never noticed much. I just assume they're pretty like the rest of him. HAHAHA!!!
