Time is a funnier thing. [Narrative-ish-RPish thing - Locked to Eiko for the moment ]

It's.. been an interesting few days. It's safe to say that Isis has taken the uplink for granted more than she'd admit to most anyone, as, well. It was always there. She's finished grading assignments, she's finished working on what she has planned next for Nexus history, and is now working on what she needs to do for Ethics of Magic ( Read more... )

Eiko comes down the stairs as fast as she can.

"Crap crap crap hope the containment field caught that crap crap crap," she says as she comes through the kitchen, heading for the door to the basement.

Isis is already heading that way WITH her, because oh god oh god oh god.

Inside the containment field is a woman who tripped in the dark. The portal Isis made is currently open behind her, giving a view of Isis's old room in the tower (And the window outside that shows the freakish lightningstorm that is the visual form of the temporal mess it's going through).

This woman, for the sake of description, is starting to sit back up after fumbling around for her glasses. She's short, dark skinned, and orange haired. A description that Isis recognizes immediately.

"Mom?!" Isis's eyes are wide, focused on the woman, who is now staring at Isis and Eiko with equal confusion.

"..Where am I?" The woman asks, confused, "And Isis? Why are you older? I came down to check on you and..." She gestures to the portal behind her, which she presumably found, and needed to investigate.

"When reality twitches," Eiko says with a slight eye tic, "it's not a little eyelid bit, it's the entire arm going wahoo all over the place."

This is said in a somewhat detached tone. She's had a weird kind of couple weeks, what with finally stopping with the morning sickness and instead starting to get food cravings. (Isis may be getting a little sick of spinach omlettes.)

Otherwise, she's just going to stay back and let them talk. And keep an eye on the containment controls.

"I think, at this point, it's a full body seizure, Vendya." Isis replies to Eiko's statement, since, well. Multiple threads and all, this earns a glance back at her for a moment too.

A jump onto a different subject, "Mom? What year do you think it is?"

Tori blinks, a little confused, "It's 3218, why?" She pulls herself up into a stand, now, giving a worried glance to Eiko, too, and then focusing on Isis. Older, yes, but she's the familiar one of the two.

"Um. Oh boy." Isis pinches the bridge of your nose, "There's a bit of a.. mess going on temporally. For me, it's 3240."

Tori's eyes go wide, an expression sort-of mirroring Isis's earlier one, "Is that what the storms are? I came downstairs to check on you because I had a massive headache when they started, and I haven't seen your father at all."

A beat, and Tori asks, "..I'm not on Skydera anymore, am I?" She looks around the room, still confused, but thoughtful about it.

"Er. No, Mom, you're not. You're on Earth. Or, an earth, anyway." Oh god. This is going to be hard to
