Summer of Love (for Hamlet)

I am in the glow of Hamlet.

This is a bliss unlike anything I've ever known. I just saw the Hamlet done the Shakespeare Theatre Company in D.C.; it was-- ...there are not even words. It was beautiful. I didn't cry, but my heart ached. I clapped and clapped until my hands hurt ( Read more... )

Oh, it's SO good. Wonderful existential, "absurdist" theatre. Lots of what is life, what are we doing here, what is DEATH talk. It's so cool! Specifically because it's really ROSENCRANTZ AND GUILDENSTERN! During the play 'Hamlet'! Running around Elsinore, going through all the craziness that goes on in that play.

If you want to see it with me, I'd love for you to tag along! I'm not sure I could get any more tickets for the Saturday matinee (though I could check if you happen to be free!), but I could definitely get tickets for later on. I'd love to do something with you; we never get to hang out anymore -- I miss you, girl.

I'm sorry i never realized that i was so much of a nuisance in you life. I honestly didn't even know that i registered as something to be spoken about. If you could perchance tell me how i was such an annoyance i might be able to work on it for future people i meet and work with.

All this flowery politeness of an insulted, simpering girl over four words? Really, this seems unnecessary. Look, you made Beach very happy once, and for that I have nothing but thanks for you, but otherwise? You're not my concern. We're never going to see each other ever again, so if I've insulted you in some way, I don't see how it can be of importance. If there are any future people you meet or work with who find you an annoyance, take it up with them. I don't have much to say in this regard.

You were literally one sentence in a story, Kelley. Don't take it too much to heart.

(There. 111 words -- excluding this -- in response to your plea for an explanation. Is that sufficient?)
