We took Cookie to a different vet today because she was just getting worse... he perscribed a medicine (in a shot) and topical cream for her, as well as the same meds orally for the others.  Since it tastes nasty I had to mix it with carrot juice.  Two of the three loved it.  Honni and Cynnamin, actually.   ( Read more... )

Turns out the guinea pigs don't have a fungal infection: the have mites.  As in, little mange bugs in their skin.

Ewwwwww.

And if that isn't pleasant enough, I have to give Cookie and Cynni antibiotics for their scabs.  And wash down all four in sulfuric lime solution biweekly.  Which does, in fact, smell like rotten eggs.

I got a new trainer in the gym after having Jenny, my old trainer, for over a year.  My new trainer's name is Chris.  And no, that's not actually his name.  But that's what I'm going to call him.  I don't like using real names unless I have their consent, and really, I don't know how I'd ever ask that awkward question.
