Friday, my last day of blessed solitude and silence.

One problem with watching TV on the computer is that when my attention wanders, I have to switch away from the screen and only have audio, which I tend to tune out. When the TV is on, I seem to miss less somehow. I wish I could hook up my laptop to the TV -- wirelessly, of course. But only the video part. Like my computer is my cable box, you know ( Read more... )

Lol it was a bit anti-climactic. I felt they crammed too much into one episode and should've done a two-parter but, oh well. Kahlan looked so pretty in red velvet ♥

In the books it took them two books before they got to bang, so the show'll probably drag it out some too, though in the books they at least knew they could bang after book 1 :p

Oh, she really did. She is so awesome! I felt horrible for her when her son turned out to be evil. :(

But then, at least she got her Richard and Zed back, and they defeated DR, however anti-climatically.

It's been YEARS since I read the books. If my TBR wasn't so packed, I'd dig them out and start again.

I have hooked my laptop to my tv before but it took some time. Does you laptop have an s-video connection? You just hook it up like a dvd player then you have to go to the display settings and adjust the dual monitors. That will transfer the video to the screen. The audio to tv transfer will take a differnt cable. But I sometimes just listen with the computer speakers.

I'll have to fiddle around with it and see what I can figure out. Thanks, hon!

wireless will cost more, we just got a VGA extender to go from jeanis pc to the tv for video and it was around $40.
it is easier and cheaper to get a wire, depending on what kind of outputs you have on it.

I have to go through the docs for my laptop -- it's a pretty low end Dell, and my TV has got to be at least a hundred years old. I suspect the joy of watching internet tv on a larger screen will have to wait a few more years.

Thanks for the advice though. I hope you're feeling better soon!
