After I convinced work to get me an iPad (don't ask :) I eat my words.

I got a wifi version (since I already have a verizon hotspot) ... I've been on it all night.

It's small enough to sit easily on my lap and safari is stunningly easy to use (not like on iPod touch). So what do I use it for?

Dude, its -perfect- for air travel. The battery life on that thing is amazing, even with Wifi on and steaming video. I've gotten about 8-10 hours outta the thing just doing random stuff with wifi on and screen brightness fairly high. I'm impressed :)
