After I convinced work to get me an iPad (don't ask :) I eat my words.

I got a wifi version (since I already have a verizon hotspot) ... I've been on it all night.

It's small enough to sit easily on my lap and safari is stunningly easy to use (not like on iPod touch). So what do I use it for?

I'm glad to hear that it's as awesome as I expected it to be. I'm thinking of grabbing one after I start my internship and I just want it as a reader. I'd get a Kindle but, well, with all the apps, I have more flexibility with the iPad and it's in colour so I get to read comics!

Not bad! Those iPads do sound mighty tempting to me. But I am short of money, AND I need to replace my HP laptop. Either I'll just get an iPod Touch, OR I will spend more and get a MacBook of some sort.
