I don't know. I agree with what all the ladies above have said. But, in general I will not read a fic (aside from a short, fluffy one-shot) unless it has some lemons in it. I like lemons. Maybe I'm over-libido'ed or something, but I have a lot of sex and see nothing wrong with the characters enjoying a lot of sex. Bella sleeping around with lots of different characters? That would certainly make it OOC, but that's not to say, in the right mood, that I wouldn't read it and enjoy it.
There are also fic's that I have read that make Bella very aggressive and while we all know Bella was kinda shy, sometimes it works.
The only one that really gets me and I have to stop reading are the ones that Audreyii mentioned - the fic's written by obvious virgins. They're silly. Just - no.
Lemons do get reviews. Hell, I will write a review for a particularly hot lemon myself. If it was well-done ( ... )

I'm of the mind that if lemons aren't going to be written, it's best not to write them at all. And sometimes a story just doesn't need sex. So, more often than not, I don't mind fics without lemons. In fact, I would go so far as to say that some of the best fics I've ever read don't contain explicit sex.

To each his own! That's why it's lovely that the fandom is so big. Variety.

hahahahahahahaha. me and the word "panties" have a long-standing rivalry. its just not a word that we use in my culture. i feel like laughing everytime i am forced to write it.

I'm gonna have to say that everyone else covered the stuff that I have issues with and/or like. I can read some more explicit sex (just depends), but yeah... even explicit, gotta have the love factor. All lemons I've ever written (in current WIP, previous WIP, O/S's) have an element of love and/or sweetness to it ( ... )

Whenever I hear decriptions for a man's penis, I always remember that scene with Julia Stiles and Allison Janney in '10 Things I Hate About You' when she's writing a romance novel and looking for synonyms of tumescent, LOL!

I'm so new to this little group that I'm still shiny, but I can see I got in at a good time - this discussion topic is awesome.

I have, perhaps, the longest list of words ever that offend my delicate sensibilities when it comes to lemons, and the number one among them is 'pussy.' If I never see or hear that word again, it will be too soon. I just don't get how that word is sexy... it's sounds more like something that should be coming out of a 16 year old boys mouth when he's bragging to his friends ( ... )

If it's a case of her begging him to do it as opposed to they've already gotten down to the dirty-dirty and the frustration/heat of the moment causes her to beg, that icks me, too, because I'm thinking she wouldn't say that either.

But, I always thought Bella was a cauldron of teenage hormones (LOL!) and she held a lot of herself and feelings inside. If the setting is right, I don't think it would be far-fetched for something like that to slip out, if it's tempered by Bella's embarrassment after the fact.
