I found myself not caring about any other part of the final than Morgana/Morgause, which was a bit disappointing. This show used to be fun, at least I think so...
I really liked how it was her grief over her lover sister that showed us the full extent of her power.
This show used to have a lot more going for it. I still enjoy the Merlin/Arthur scenes, but I miss the friendship that Morgana used to have with all of the characters. I wish they could have shown us why she turned the way she did in a more believable way.

I miss the friendship that Morgana used to have with all of the characters.Me too, something fierce. It really bugged me how easy it was for them all to let her go and give up on her, especially Gwen. Season one worked hard (and successfully) at building up the friendships and relations between all the characters. Enter seasons two and three, and suddenly all the show was about was monster of the week, Merlin almost blabbing his secret to the world and the writers trying to make us believe that Arthur was passionately in love with Gwen

This. I agree with EVERYTHING in that paragraph. I really enjoyed the Arthur/Morgana tension, and didn't like that they just randomly dropped it and tried to force the Gwen/Arthur, which I still don't buy. I'm happy for the G/A shippers out there, but it all just happened in like 2 seconds, and some development would have been nice, as opposed to Gwen just fawning over Arthur every single episode and Arthur having this unexplainable crush on Gwen. And also, Morgana was a friend to Arthur, Gwen, and even Merlin - I don't like how they all just went "oh, she's bad now? OKAY." lol. I also don't like how the show beats us over the head with how evil Morgana is, what with the dragon constantly saying he

I was really dissapointed with how they wrote Morgana - and to some extent, Morgause - this series. I think that Katie McGrath and Emilia Fox did an excellent job with what they were given.
And as far as the smirks go, that's really not her fault, she has to do that because they tell her too, so its obvious to kids.

This is what I thought, though I still wish this were a different show that didn't require that sort of thing.
