IA, Peter/Olivia don't have a romantic vibe about them IMO. I have only just started watching the show this past week, so I was pretty confuzzled to find out they are supposed to be the OTP or something.

And yes, I don't know whether it's just my goggles but her and Rachel seem to have a disturbing amount of chemistry for sisters, lol. Over There Part 1 was the first ep I watched and if Ella hadn't called Oliva "Aunt", I totally would've presumed they were gay married :p

I looove the bangs *flail* Alt!Olivia was so peppy and cute, but yeah, kinda creepy awesome at the end.

Yeah. I mean, I wasn't surprised that the writers/whoever tried to push their relationship in this direction, but it wasn't the vibe I was getting at all. I remember reading an interview where Anna Torv said she saw them as a family more than being romantically involved (and she hoped the writers wouldn't go there), and if I'm not wrong Joshua Jackson said something similar in a different interview. Ah well ( ... )

I'm way behind on the show, but the possibility of an Olivia/Peter pairing has always been there, and never made any sense. There is a lack of romantic chemistry to their interactions that just cannot be overcome, no matter how much the producers might wish otherwise, and they'd be much better off as friends. Really, is it too much to ask that an attractive man and woman, between the ages of sixteen and fifty, be allowed to have a platonic friendship on TV? Sheesh.

I think whenever there is a male lead and a female lead, the "natural" thing to do is to pair them up. But I'm sick of it. We already have Bones, and we already have Castle (both shows I love) - can't they just do something more original?

Yeah, I agree - I think if Anna Torv and Joshua Jackson had romantic chemistry onscreen, it would've worked - I just don't feel it and thus it doesn't work for me. I wish the producers would see that and stop trying to force it.

THIS. Thank you!

Oh God, the Olivia/Peter -- it burns!

Dude, I totally figured out the Olivia switch as soon as Bell was knocked out.

The only Fringe episodes I've seen: The Pilot and White Tulip-Over There Part Two. I'm not watching any more. Still, Brown Betty will remain in my heart (and DVR) as an awesome ep of tv.

Thanks for linking to (and finding) all the clips of Olivia-Rachel from Season 1, now I don't actually have to watch the episodes.

Haha!

And me too, haha! I saw it coming. :)

The series itself is pretty interesting; I think the first season was definitely a lot scarier than the second. The second season finale is definitely one of the better finales this TV season, though.

No problem! I'm glad to share the love.

1) Yeah! I've really tried to be more open to it and accept it, but so far it's not happening. If they can sell me on it next season, then great - but right now, no ( ... )

Haha! Well, if that's what they're doing, I hope they keep doing it. :)

IKR? They work so well as brother/sister!

I really do like it. They're all wonderful, and John Noble - he's pretty awesome.
