I got no implication whatsoever that Cara has feelings for Richard, I mean, romantic ones. She loves him as a friend and as the Lord Rahl. It's pretty much the same in the books, when they talk about love they mean the platonic kind.

BUT YES. OMG EPISODE WHY SO SEXY? I'll re-watch a thousand times and never not be turned on by pretty much everything.

Okay, I wasn't sure... Because I was like "Where did that come from?" and I guess I just misunderstood.

I KNOW! I'm rewatching it right now, and, uh... only really paying attention to the Cara/Dahlia (or just Cara) parts. LOL!

I like how they hinted that Richard's love would be enough for him to not be confessed by Kahlan, like in the books. :)

Yeah, in the books, Cara loves Richard like a brother. I guess that's what it's supposed to be like in the show too.

This commentary is pretty much EXACTLY what was going through my head! *hi5* I would love to comment on ALL OF IT but that would be the longest and mostt epic comment of all time so I pick these bits:

LOLLOL KICKED IN THE FACE.

This is like Cara's fave pasttime- face kicking! LOL

I also love how Dahlia is clearly hurt that Cara would headbutt her like that.

Me too. Cara has such spunk! :P

Also, the look on her face when just before she thinks of Kahlan; it's so dreamy and dazed and I love it!!

Yes, picspam PLEASE!!

*nod* Probably. I just felt like they broached that topic so much this past episode that it was almost overkill; I think that's why I thought that.

Haha! Brain twins FTW! *high five*

I KNOW LOLLLL.

She really does have spunk! Which is why I'm hoping she isn't actually "evil" - or that her "evilness" is just part of her large plan.

And dude, this is so off-topic, I wish that Dahlia would join them on their quest! Obviously it's not going to happen, but a girl can dream. Someone should step on that fic!

And OMG YEAH THE DREAMY LOOK. :):) I love how she looks almost bored with the torture. Actually, she probably is bored.

Picspam will most likely be coming!!! :D

OMG YEAH. *fans self*

And I loved the ones in the beginning of the episode, too. Especially when Cara grabs Dahlia by the... corset? And kisses her. UNF.

I don't think they've ever really tried to imply that Cara's feelings for Richard are romantic. She even said as much (or something like it) when Kahlan was split into two personalities. As you said, there's definitely far more sexual tension and subtext between her and Kahlan, and although that might be accidental (I don't think so) it is a result of the fact that Cara and Kahlan's growing friendship is the one they've been concentrating on when it comes to Cara, not Richard or Zedd... Sorry, I got long-winded ( ... )

Yeah, I rewatched it shortly after posting this and I think you guys are right. And like you've said, the friendship between Cara and Kahlan is definitely the one being focused on.

Yes, it's screwed up, but it's obvious they really care about each other.

THIS. You've managed to summarize my (incoherent) thoughts! It's why I love them so fucking much. It was obvious when she was talking to Cara that she thought she was doing the right thing, what with all the stuff she said about "you're getting soft" - not to mention the look in her eyes (and how she shoved Cara's hands away) when Cara suggested she join the Seeker ( ... )
