Dahlia? Could be hot, but my warning bells are going off. How many times have we had to endure crazy, stalkerish lesbians in the past? Too many. I'd rather stick to Cara/Kahlan subtext than have to sit through awful maintext.
The whole Cara-with-child thing is something I'm just not feeling (even though I have a secret love for Cara with children!). Firstly, I'm assuming she's in her mid to late twenties - so any child of hers can't be older than nine or ten, at the most. But that's besides the point. How are they going to explain how she had the child? Even if the "child being in danger" claim turns out just to be a ploy to get Cara away, the fact still remains that Cara had a child. The only feasible way this could happen would be for her to sleep with Darken Rahl - and how are the writers going to explain that? She did it "just because"? I could understand this if it had happened in the books (what with its mention of rape and torture at every page, and how Darken Rahl would order Mord'Sith to his bed) - the books are made of some pretty dark stuff. But I can't imagine show!Cara sleeping with show!Darken Rahl willingly. It's just... ugh.
Show, I hope you find a way to surprise me and make me happy as you usually do!
