this is by far the gayest of teh gay.

Also, this will probably make no sense if you haven't seen the episode because it's more of a "WHY THIS EPISODE WAS AWESOME" than a recap.
So this was hands-down the most ridiculous episode ever. But it had major Cara/Kahlan moments, so I'm not too fussed. I didn't cap every single Cara/Kahlan moment (though in retrospect, I think I should have), but ANYWAY.
1) Cara and Kahlan try to snuff out the torch.
I love this. I love how Kahlan told Cara to stand on her toes, and Cara was all not!patiently like, "I am." I also love the fact that we would probably never see this happen with Richard and Kahlan.
2) Cara and Kahlan argue over who is going to die.
A brief recap:
Kahlan: Kill me. (Side note: The way she says it could also mean, "Kiss me," or possibly even "Fuck me.")
Cara: *gives her a look* Has the lack of air driven you mad?
Kahlan: *says something about giving Richard time to find them* ...and then you can give me the breath of life.
Cara considers this. (It seems like she gives the breath of life, or at least has to consider doing so, every episode... IDEK).
Cara: Richard would never forgive me if I let you die.
Kahlan: But you can bring me back.
Cara: It's too big of a risk. We don't know how long it will be till he finds us. But there is another way.
*There is like, romantic and significant (and heroic) music playing in the background. I AM SRS.*
Cara: I'll die instead.
Kahlan: No. I can't bring you back. Your death would be final.
Cara: Better one of us than both of us.
*They share a significant look that could honestly seems like it's about to lead into a kiss.*
CARA LOVES HER BB. ♥ !!
Also, is it just me, or does Cara (/Tabrett) make the most inappropriate faces this episode? LOL. Half the time she was talking to Kahlan, she looked like she was ready to eat her do her right then and there. Plus, we already know that whenever Cara talks, it doesn't actually matter what she's saying - she says everything seductively.
3) Cara and Kahlan talk about FEELINGS!
Below we have Cara confessing her more than platonic feelings towards the Mother Confessor.
Oh, Cara. Needless to say, I really liked this scene.
Notice how they're sitting so much closer at the end, compared to at the beginning? Yeah.
Cara: You were right.
Kahlan: About what?
Cara: You once told me that it's a hard world. And we don't get many chances to tell people how much they mean to us.
Kahlan gives Cara a SIGNIFICANT LOOK.
Cara: There is no one a Mord'Sith should hate more than a Confessor. I was trained to hate you. But I don't. And I don't want to die without you knowing...
Kahlan leans forward. (You guys, she treats this so importantly - like she recognizes that this is a SIGNIFICANT STEP FOR CARA - and it's so endearing).
Cara: ...that I consider you to be... my friend.
(Okay, the look on Cara's face when she says this - it's so open and vulnerable, as though she's expecting Kahlan to REJECT HER LOVE FRIENDSHIP).
Kahlan smiles. (This really cute little half-smile that I think is one of my favourite Kahlan!smiles).
Kahlan: I think of you as a friend too.
AND THEN SHE PULLS HER INTO A HUG. ZOMG. (AND IF YOU WATCH THE EP, YOU CAN SEE CARA SORT OF SMILE; IT'S THE CUTEST THING EVER YOU GUYS).
Also, there is something about the way Cara is sitting at the end that makes me impossibly happy.
4) Cara tries to kill herself, and a FIGHT ensues!
I always love Cara's faces, but watch it when she's fighting - she LOVES IT AND IS POSSIBLY AROUSED.
Also, this fight scene is more than a little suggestive. Kahlan looks properly debauched at the end.
AND THEN THEY HOLD HANDS.
5) Cara takes back her feelings, or something like that (but Kahlan knows better).
While continuing on their magical quest to find the Stone of Tears, Kahlan goes up to Cara and tells her that Cara's life is worth as much as hers is.
Cara: About what I said back in the tomb -
Kahlan suddenly looks very interested, and very happy.
Kahlan: (in a happy, quiet voice) Yeah. It really meant a lot to me.
(THIS, YOU GUYS, DID THINGS TO MY HEART!)
Cara seems to consider this.
Cara: Forget I said it. I was delirious from the lack of air.

Other things of interest:
- Cara's clapping in the birthday scene. Did you guys catch that too? It was hilarious in its unenthusiastic-ness, and reminded me of a five year old child (which Cara not-so- secretly is, deep down inside.
- How Lord What's-His-Name turned to Richard and said, "We can't let your friends loose; they're too powerful." Clearly, he knows that Richard is just there to stand around and look pretty! XD.
