CandleStickley

To-day I bought the very first pieces of furniture that I can truly call my own: a pair of oak candlesticks. They're a very small first step towards being able someday to furnish my own apartment, but they're a first step nevertheless, and I could scarcely be happier for it (and that they're not from IKEA ;) ).

Thank you. :) They were a lot more expensive than any similar item that one could buy from IKEA, but then again they're made to last a lot longer than any IKEA-made furniture. I expect these candlesticks to last for at least the rest of my life.

And we know how much you hate the Ikea! ;)

Pics of said candlesticks?

Well, I don't hate everything about IKEA. They do serve decent Swedish meatballs. ;)

Since I haven't a camera, I can't show you a pic of the very pair that I bought, but I can direct you to a Web page that does have a picture of the exact same model: http://www.stickley.com/OurProducts_Details.cfm?id=1756&Collection=Mission&cat1=92&view=single&finish=

There you go! And it's solid oak, so it's even heftier than it looks. ;)
