My Dad this morning, "watching" cable radio: "oh yeah, Julie London...she was a middling singer and an ok actress, but she was blessed with a Jane Russell figure, but cuter...so of course, my mother took an immediate dislike to her because my father did not..."

Cracked me up.

It's Christmas Eve and things should be good. At least that's what the TV says. It says we should all go to sleep to dream the visions we all have of electronic goodies and things we can't possibly live without. I'm sitting here watching some kind of public access channel that's showing karaoke from a place called Cindy's Star-Struck Lounge in Sissonville, West Virginia. Holy crap, this is amazing. My old roommate called last night to tell me a good friend from ad school was dead. Of course, he said "passed away" or something like it, but he meant dead. It's 5:30, but I've been up since 3:30 or so. I tried getting to sleep early, because I haven't had a full eight hours for three months or so. My body just seems to know when I'm trying to slide another couple of hours past it. I know it's not the same as never sleeping, but it makes my head weird.
