Of Bigfoot, The Tooth Fairy, Conservative Christians and other fictional beasts.

A friend sent me this yesterday. It says a lot about religious hypocrisy and our current national leadership. I have to say I'm not particularly churchy, but I absolutely agree with (avowed atheist) Bill Mahar when he said the world would be better off if everybody acted the way Christ told them to. and, for not being a churchy person myself, I completely agree. But it's hardly limited to Christianity - I've been thinking about taking the moral foundation of as many of the major religions as I can find, and cross referencing them to create a list of the most solid moral foundations of humanity. There's so many concepts of goodness and 'right' that transfer culture and community.

That being said, i also want to put together a video of Bush quotes, with highlighted quotations from the Bible as he DIRECTLY contradicts them...

I think you should. In fact, everybody who sees that kind of crap going on needs to keep pointing it out until he (and his kind) start losing the support of all those poor idiots who haven't realized yet that he's just telling them what they want to hear.

In fact, a friend of mine in Savannah and I are planning on working on a series of fake religious tracts that show contradictions between Christian scripture and the reality of Christian Conservatism.

You definitely should. The hypocrisy is rampant.
