OH WOW.

I like this. The sadness, the hope, the possibilities, the sadness again, the mystery of it all.

Thanks! I'm glad you liked it, weird angstiness and all. When given the prompt "First Time", it was really all I could do to not write, you know, the first sexy tiem. So this is what I had to come up with instead! *clutches head* There may be something wrong with me.

Wow. That was just awesome. I'm going to have to re-read this later on.

Thanks! It probably won't make any more sense when you come back to it later, though. I mean, it makes sense in my head, but my head-sense may not be Earth-sense.

Oooo, haunting, spooky, weird. Good weird. I like weird. You did a wonderful job of setting a scene that feels otherwordly with people who both don't quite seem to belong there. Really enjoyed this.

*g* Maybe slightly too weird, but that's okay. I like weird sometimes too. I'm glad you enjoyed it! :D

Wow. My head is spinning - I think quite a bit of it went over me, but I do know I liked it. :D

(And I must be quite dumb, because writerinatardis confuses me and seems very unfair. I'm sure it can't be as bad as I think it is...)

Any possible similarities to concepts in the movie "Donnie Darko" in this fic are entirely intentional. And yeah, anyone who claims to have fully understood that film on first viewing is lying.

writerinatardis is just a bit of fun. People sign up and are given prompts and then about 10 days to write a ficlet within a given word-limit to fulfil the prompt. The ficlets are all posted without author-attribution, so no one knows who wrote what, and then anyone can read them all and vote for one winning fic and one fic to be eliminated. The votes are tallied and every round one person wins (and earns a "skip" they can use for a future round) and one person is out of the contest. I ended this round with a -2 which is... not so good, but good enough to continue on to the next round. I don't take it personally, especially with a fic like this that was deliberately weird and probably not to everyones' tastes. I knew I was taking a risk submitting such an out-there story, but *shrug* it's not srs bsns.

Hee! I haven't seen that one, so maybe that had something to do with it. :)

That's what I thought! Huh. Maybe I'm just overly sensitive.

There were several folks on my flist who said they were a bit too sensitive to participate, and I fully understand that. I'm primarily doing it so I can learn to write shorter fics (no, really!), and also writing to prompts is not something I do terribly well, so it's good practice there too. I think I might feel more sensitive if the fic being voted on was one I'd written in another context, but because I'm writing just for this purpose, and to a prompt, it feels less personal.

I was keeping notes as I read them all to help me decide who to vote for at the end. My note for this read: very cool in a moody sort of way. I definitely liked it.

Hee I took notes too! Thanks! And thanks for being one of the few, the proud, the people who read all 21 of those fics and voted!
