That - was awesome! I love that it's Josiah's POV, especially the last line. Really really well done!!!!

I can't wait for the other stories!

Glad you like! I'm planning to do a part from each of the Seven's POVs, and Inez and Mary too. Josiah was uncooperative, but I got him down eventually. I suspect Nathan is going to be a problem.

Poor Josiah. That's not the sort of thing you want to just have dropped on you...no matter how much you think you want to know.

True, that. I love the imagery of that last paragrpah - "Josiah tunes the other two out to concentrate on his own shattered images of his friends." Nicely done. And yes, Nathan will be a problem. Good luck with that.

Thanks. I want to do them justice, too, because Nathan and Josiah get so little fic written about them compared to the others. I may be using their heads for a convenient viewpoint, but this is Chris and Ezra's story, really.

I am really enjoying that the series is Old West and from the different points of view. It's quite an undertaking but one that you are doing so well! I agree that Josiah and Nathan can be difficult which might be why fics with them might be a little hard to find so it's great to hear they each get to have their "say" and I thought it was very much in character for Josiah to (kind of) patiently try to figure things out before finally driven to the point where he had to ask what was going on.

At first when I saw the Ezra/JD, I had a hard time seeing it, but, I am open to any pairing and with the mutual comfort angle, it was quite believable. Chris/Ezra I have been open to for a long time and recently, in screencapping Ghosts of the Confederacy, I noticed (for the first time, how blind could I be?) Chris's hand on Ezra's chest when he warns Ezra never to run out on him again. "Him" not "them". So that pairing, I could definitely see.

And I do dearly love Vin's little observant self. :D

Looking forward to the next chapter.

Thanks! You've got to write fic with Nathan and Josiah - Chris, Vin, and Ezra seem to get all the attention in fandom (And fair enough, since they are so clearly made of awesome)

I'm not sure why I decided to write E/JD *shrugs* But it worked within the fic, so I'm just going to go with it.

Wait wait wait, back up a minute. I never noticed that! I mean, I know it's 'never run out on me again', but the hand on the chest is news to me! *runs off to rewatch Ghosts of the Confederacy

I'm sorry I didn't know how else to show you the picture so I posted it in my LJ if you ever want to have a look at it. It's very intriguing!

The thing I find hard about Nathan is that he seems to speak mostly in sentence fragments which is kind of hard to write unless you turn off that little interior editor which tries to make them into complete sentences. Josiah is very philosophical but there's a lot of chaff with his grain. That's why I find the two of them difficult. :D

I liked the E/JD because it seemed pretty believable to me in your fic. Sometimes people do find some solace in loving the one you're with if you can't be with the one you love as the song says.

Hmm, I think I'll go have a look at that pic...

I find it easiest to write characters who have strong accents, oddly enough. Or characters whose accents I can mimic. In Mag7, for example, I find Vin and Ezra easiest to write.

Behave yourself, or I'll take my time posting the next bit. Or go write in a different fandom entirely just to be annoying.

JD's in the same boat as Ez, 'cept it's Buck he's got his eye on. Reckon the two of 'em decided to...console each other a bit."

Vin sure has a way with words! I'm really enjoying this series - now the truth is getting out, it'll be really interesting to see how various folks take it

Thank you very much. I agonised over that conversation quite badly ("Would he really just come out and say it like that? Should I phrase it a different way?") so I'm glad you think it works.

I'm looking forward to the reactions. All I can say is, Buck's going to be in for a bit of a shock...

Hi,

Just wanted you to know I am enjoying this series, muchly.

I like reading it from different povs. I like to 'see' how each of the 'boys' perceive the same things differently.

I also adore C/E so I always love reading new stories for them.

Am so glad that susan recommended this series on EBOS and that I bookmarked it for later. Will definitely reread it often.

Thanks for creating and sharing.

take care,

Thank you very much! Nice feedback makes the author smile ^^ I'm glad you're enjoying it. The next part should be up sometime this week.

Out of interest, what's EBOS?

You're welcome. Oooh lovely, something to look foreward to this coming week. :)

EBOS is EzrasBodyOfSlash yahoo group. It is a group dedicated to Ezra Standish fiction in which he is paired with any of the other seven, or any other fictional male characters(excluding RPS.) Also artwork, discussions, recommendations, etc are welcome there as long as the subject is Ezraslash.
