I bet you're exactly right. This was a condensed version of what I actually read, and that fits absolutely perfectly with a bit that I left out. How I didn't put that together when it was blatently staring me right in the face... *facepalm*

I heard this from elsewhere, and if it is true I am horrified. Seriously. WHAT.

Yep. That part is true. He "played up" his pure-blood side in order to get in good with Lucius and there is something about book giving the truth away. And Slughorn is the new potions instructor and Snape is teaching DADA.

Weird, I was in the ballpark with my HBP prediction. My official prediction was Salazar Slytherin. My secondary prediction was a half-blood wizard with the surname of Prince.
