Ugh. I clicked the wrong button in your last question. I meant to vote "not in the least," not "yes, completely." To be honest, this has felt like one big long recession over the past several years.
I have no way to "prepare" for a further recession other than taking my vitamins so I can work longer hours with fewer days off.
Back in 1998, I drove a car, took 2 days off each week, ate in a sit-down restaurant at least once a week. Now I eat out once or twice a year, buy non-perishable foods and vitamins on-line rather than locally, have not been to a movie theater since 2002.
"What's so horrible about 2 days off each week and the rest of the time working and/or stuck in traffic. I thought that was the American dream, man?" *snicker*
I don't have a car but the price of fuel, as you know, drives up the cost of everything else.
