Chase was feeling pretty damn amazing. For one, he was back to being a man, just like Wilson and House had thought. He was in a perpetual bright mood because well, he was a man again.
And seeing Cameron was relief because it only confirmed that he was still straight and god, he could kiss her, he could.
"Morning," he said, chipperly. "I bought you coffee." He handed Cameron one from the tray.
It would probably not be a good idea to kiss her in the lobby right there.
Then again, maybe it would get her off the hook. Cameron tried to communicate a silent 'shut this guy up' plea, taking the coffee. "Oh, thanks. I bet we have a lot to do today. For House." Pointed look at Large and Sweaty.
Monk felt distressed, and slightly lost as he wandered down the hall, playing with the end of his sleeve. The nurse had told him to wait in some room, but he'd felt panicky as soon as she left. He wanted his doctor back.
Standing in the hallway was a young woman in a white coat who looked very much like a doctor. Well, more than the three nurses and half-dozen patients he'd stopped did.
Even though she was talking to someone else, he walked up to the two of them. "Excuse me," he interrupted.
Cameron glanced at House with a normal amount of gratitude and apprehension. "I do?"
Large and Sweaty grimaced, and knowing better than to go a round with House, began to amble away, muttering about people who horded all the help around here.
"Advantage of being a department head," House called after the guy, then lowered his voice. "Idiot can handle his own patient. We've got a guy who's attached himself to me and a fictional character. More interesting than whatever he wanted you to do."
"He just wanted me to do some of his busywork, like someone-- wait, what?" Cameron's eyes widened. "He attached himself to you AND a fictional character? Or there's a fictional character AND... a fan of yours?"

He turned to the Bulk Sized Guy. "Doctors. Busy work."

She smiled sweetly at the other doctor, imagining stomping on his foot, and then turned back to the man. "Who's your doctor?"

He could occasionally be helpful. Mostly when he wanted something--like his own patients treated--but he figured it was something.
He turned to Cameron. "You do, by the way. Two of 'em."
