Until I got this job, I'd forgotten just how knackering it is to spend much of your day bored out of your skull.

I was so bored I spent today pretending I was filling out requisition forms for Olrich just to stop me fallng asleep. My actual Boss probably won't set my soul on fire if I do.

.... I just laughed loudly at that image. I have What Would Ansellina Do moments when conferencing with terminally stupid students about why their pig-ignorant essays didn't get the A the precious little darlings feel they so richly deserve. The answer to WWAD (SHOOT THEM!) has never actually /happened/ but makes me feel better. :)

Have you considered the "beating to death" option? It's messier but quieter, thus leaving you more time to conceal the corpse in the broom cupboard and chastise the SWAT teams for being noisy when they break in.
