I'm super duper curious about this...

Someone else on my flist just asked something really similar to this, LOL. I'll admit that I never really have a preference, as in, it won't make any sort of difference as to whether or not I enjoy a fic one way or another. That being said, I will admit that I have a small affinity for Cas taking charge in the bedroom...

lol! Yeah, I saw something on tumblr that brought up the issue of topping preferences, and so I was really curious about what other people thought. But I agree... I'll read either way, and it doesn't bother me. But again, yes... Cas taking charge is totally my preference lol.

And yay!! lol, I've watched this video many, many times since I first saw it and it still brings me to tears with laughing :P

Personally, I don't have a preference. I like when they switch it up though I think when I write it Cas tends to top...

Hmm I'm going to guess they switch it up but Dean mostly tops for you?

That video is one of my favoritest things ever... And yes! Especially for the smiley!Cas \o/

Switching it up is definitely the way to go... and I think when I've written them Cas tops, too? At least the one full on sex scene that I posted (maybe two?) he did haha.

And close! I like it when they switch it up but mostly Cas tops :P But hey, not a lot of people guessed and I'm feeling in a procrastination mood, so if you have a tiny prompt anyway or want me to try some pron, lemme know :)

I think I meant to say Cas tops more often...it counts...yay! ha ha xD Hmm I would be quite partial to something snuggly, possibly with hands in hair etc because I'm in a kind of sappy mood. But whatever you like xD

I personally prefer it when Dean tops even though I can't say why, it's just what I feel is more natural I suppose. However, there's have been top!Cas fic that I have enjoyed in the past if only very few.

I'm going to take a shot and guess that 'the switch' is your preference?
(if I get a ficlect you wont have to worry about porn, I always choose schmoopy fic without sex over fic with sex, it makes me such a bad slash fan I know! xD)

Yeah, I guess it would be more natural. I feel like when they finally got together Dean would totally top the first time or for a while... without a doubt :P And it's tough with Cas topping fics... sometimes the dynamic can be thrown off.

And close! I prefer them switching but Cas mostly topping :P I'll read either though, as long as it's done right. (lol! That does not make a bad slash fan :P Fluff and schmoop make the world go round! And not a lot of people guessed, so if you want a ficlet/have a prompt anyway, I'm in a procrastinating mood :P)

I think that's what puts me off of most top!Cas fic is that I feel that the equality of their dynamic is lost in the ones that I have read. Although you get that in bottom!Cas fic too if you pick the wrong ones. Maybe I should clarify that my preference is Cas topping from the bottom. xD Idk, I think Dean n' Cas as both tops and bottoms all at once despite what position they're in, but I've only found that equality theme as consistently in fics that have Dean as the top and Cas as the bottom because it's only as their sexual positions and not as their emotional ones.

I wish I could read them as more of a switch considering that's technically how see them anyways. I have no idea why I have to be so picky, it's annoying really. :[

Your icon is making me want to have Dean trying to teach Cas how to fish or something. Just anything lazy, schmoopy and romantic and I'll be prefect with it. <3

I've actually never considered it in those words, but yeah, Dean and Cas being top and bottom at once is kind of how they play off of each other, emotionally etc. That makes a ton of sense. I think that's why I'm sometimes "ehhh" about Cas bottoming: he's an angel of the lord, and sometimes people make him this really submissive, weak bottom and I'm like :/ Because he's a warrior, etc. But I think fics that are successful really do have that equality between them regardless of who's topping or bottoming, and topping from the bottom is kind of the physical expression of that. Huh... that is interesting! Thanks for pointing it out like that! lol ( ... )
