Part 2: Simply Irresistible! Or, an Apology to Robert Palmer.

For nearly 2 decades I thought Robert Palmer's song "Simply Irresistible" was about his discovery of transvestites and gay sex.

Seriously. I've always been hearing the chorus wrong. It's supposed to go:

Simply irresistible shes so fine, theres no tellin where the money went

That's okay, whenever I hear "Spiderwebs" by No Doubt, and she gets to that bit that goes: "I screen my phone calls", I hear: "I scream my balls off". I know that's not what she's saying, but that's what I hear.

It probably didn't help your youthful maturation at all to probably hear one of the many rumors (Like I did) that all the models in the Simply Irresistable video were guys.

Heh heh. I never heard that rumor, but it does explain why there was an interview with a couple of the french models who were used in the first two videos who were talking about (read: complaining about) the process to make them look like clones. Pinned ears, taped chests, lifts, etc. Plus the layers of makeup that could stop a bullet.

Sure, knowing that there were girls in the video helped... a little, but the damage was allready done to my fragile little mind.

Oh wait, it wasn't the Simply Irresistible video that I heard that for, it was the Addicted to Love video. But still, same vein of thought.
