Further to finally getting our visas, today we bought a house! Woohoo! It's a beautiful, newly re-furbed condo and we got it for quite a bit less than we thought we would.

I haven't actually set foot in it, which is a little scary, but I trust the hubby, I've seen the videos he took, and I AM EXCITE :D

cool beans, usa!usa!

I hope it works out well! My hubby once bought us a house I hadn't seen, while I was in Edinburgh on a work trip (with my permission, I hasten to add). Did it work out? For a while it did...

Yeah, we've been together nearly 10 years, and we've been to the neighbourhood together, so I'm confident he's picked a good'un that fits my requirements :)

Yup, I too trusted my husband and it did work out, until we moved away because of work!

That's what marriage is after all, learning about each others likes and dislikes so that it is as if both are of same mind... (learning or natural inclination? probably a bit of both)

Thank you! We're not exchanging on it until December so I won't see it until then, but I'm so excited :D oh and it has way more square footage than we thought we'd get, but still not 2000 *g*

How exciting!!

I hope it's brilliant for you :)

I once agreed to rent a flat without Jojo seeing it - we lived there very happily, until we bought our current flat :)

Yay thanks :) I think we've been together long enough for him to know my tastes. Plus I gave him a really long list of must haves ;)

Congratulations! Saw Gone Baby Gone on TV last night and I'm thinking your husband probably chose a better part of Boston than Dorchester? D:

We did look there... very briefly. But we ended up north of the river Charles, in greater Boston really. Leafy suburbia, more or less ;)
