Pride week seems to be expanding

I'm putting together a fathers day package for dad, which is something I enjoy doing. I'm sending him some movies I know he'll enjoy.

I'm also looking over the pride week+ activities coming up. I'm interested in the screww dance Friday the 19th at Goodhandy's. I've never been to Goodhandy's yet, but I want to check it out and at least the ( Read more... )

I thinking TBN reception on the 23rd, Libido on the 26t5, the Clam Slam roller derby game on the 26th, Dyke March and maybe brunch as well on the 27th, and the 80's reunion tour on the 28th.

Ooooh, and Cherry Bomb on the 27th. Hell yes.

I don't really have any terribly specific plans in place yet - I know I'll ve at Funkasia on the Friday of Pride weekend, and at the Dyke March on Saturday, but beyond that I don't know yet. Whether I can go to any of the women's dances that cost money will depend on my financial situation at the time.

I'm thinking Screww dance Friday the 19th for sure. After all, it's in the bi community's honour!

I'm feeling ambivalent about the bathhouse too... hotties, pool and hot tub, yes. Expensive, yah. I won't feel like a dork, but I'm way out of the loop these days. I'm actually hoping to bring a date so I don't feel dumb for going and not getting laid like the last two times I went.

I've RSVP'd a spot for the TBN reception on the 23rd. I wanna go to Libido on the 25th too, and the women's dance at the opera house, which I enjoyed last time I went. I wanna attend the trans march but not march, just to support them. I've got to set up and run the volunteers for a table for the Police LGBT CCC on both Saturday & Sunday. That likely excludes me from the BIWOT brunch, and having Allan with me likely excludes me from going to Cherry Bomb, too.

I'm not marching this year. It's too hard on my body.

As to plans: possibly screww, maybe reception, definitely bi men's brunch, watching dyke march, marching (either with TBN or random queers), and ABC. Wang Chung if I finish marching in time.

At the moment I don't know any folks who are going, except for blackorchid1, who may or may not. You can give her my number. Tell her to give me a call on Thursday. I'll have decided by then to go or not.

Still not sure about going - now freaking out about the expense...but some biwot folks may be meeting up beforehand at The Foxes Den. Is she on biwot? She should join the list at yahoogroups.
