Damien had been a little at a loss for what he could do to help Soli get through this, but the one thing he knew was that he would be there for her in whatever way she needed. He would have offered to go to the hospital with her even if she hadn't said she needed him there, but he was glad that she needed him, that she was giving him the opportunity to be there for her. He was having to fight to keep from telling her that he loved her, worried that with everything else going on in her life right now, it would be too much. Though maybe he shouldn't be so worried; maybe knowing that he loved her would help her right now ( ... )

The desire to leave was still immensely strong, Soli wondered if or when she would really be ready to face this. She didn't have to face meeting her baby sister alone, thankfully. Was it asking to much of Damien to have him here with her, they were dating, but in the back of her mind she wondered if this was awkward for him. Selfishly she had asked him to come, and she was relieved he had agreed to join her. Facing this alone seemed frighteningly impossible, but with Damien here she wasn't so scared of it.

She wanted to stay just like this, Damien's arms around her felt comforting and right. Peering up at him, she smiled softly, though the smile was tight. "Sim, probably." Soli murmured, sighing softly as she stepped out of Damien's arms to turn towards the entrance. She found though she ended the closeness to easy her worries, so as they moved through the entrance Soli slipped an arm around Damien's waist and leaned into him ( ... )

Damien slid his arm over her shoulders, tucking her closer to his side as they started making their way to the Maternity ward. He'd never been in a Maternity ward before, never witnessed or been close to someone having a baby. He'd never admit it, but it kind of made him just a little nervous even though he knew Soli's mother had already had the baby. He didn't mind kids, liked and wanted them eventually even, but newborn babies were like foreign entities to him because he'd never really been around them ( ... )

Soli couldn't keep herself from leaning into him, seeking the physical support she needed to go along with the emotional. This was all so very overwhelming, and a part of her wanted to bitch because the roles should be reversed, at this age it shouldn't be Soli making the trek to the Maternity ward, it should be her mother coming to see her. Not that she was ready for kids, the thought still terrified her to some degree, though deep down under the fear she thought that some day she might want that, but only if it were with Damien. That thought always started her, she couldn't logically see her future without him, he had in fact become is anchor in many ways ( ... )
