Date: October 27th, 2011 Characters: Shoshana Wise, Adrienne Travis Location: Coffee Shop in Fort Worth Status: Semi-Private Summary: Shosh and Adrienne catch up over coffee. Completion: Complete
Adrienne had never been one for coffee, but espresso... Espresso was another matter entirely. She was looking forward to taking time to catch up with Shosh, but wasn't entirely sure how she was supposed to act.
Jase had finally filled her in on the break up and the details of over the weekend. She'd been suspicious and had finally cornered him with coffee, and oh, she hurt for him. But, on the other hand, Shosh had been honest, and he had said the break up had been amicable.
She ordered her drink before glancing around to find Shosh. Spotting her, she quickly made her way over to the table and dropped into the seat lightly, a pleasant smile on her face. "Hey, Shosh," she said lightly.
Shosh smiled in greeting as Adrienne dropped into the seat across from her. "Hey." She said, taking a drink from her coffee before she continued. "So how are you? How's the business going?" Shosh was realizing it had been awhile since she had seen Adrienne last, and she had no idea how Top Tier was doing going into the fall season.
She was itching to ask her friend's opinion of Cody, but would wait until the pleasantries were out of the way before she brought that up. Even if she was was curious as hell to know what Adrienne thought of him. Though in the back of her mind she was still wondering when or if the topic of Jase would come up.
Adrienne sighed slightly. "Business is good." And it had been, it just felt... overwhelming at times. Plus, there was the proposal Colin had brought up. Move closer to Nana, get out of Texas. And it was quite the intriguing idea. "It's been busy, swamped, really. But Erica's back now at The Affair, so I'm able to just concentrate on Top Tier," she explained.
She sipped at her drink, tilting her head slightly. "So how are you doing?" She was tempted to tack on since breaking Jase, but left it off. Jase said he had no harsh feelings for Shosh, but she could tell he was upset. If Colin and she did move out of Texas, she was suggesting Jase come with them. Sell or hire a manager for The Affair and start over fresh somewhere. Maybe coaching, he enjoyed volunteering to help with the junior high students enough any way.
Shosh quirked an eyebrow. "That sigh before 'Business is good' It makes me think that either business isn't as a good as you just said it was, or you're thinking about something else entirely." She commented, nodding when Adrienne said she was back focusing on Top Tier full time. "How is Erica doing anyway?" Shosh only had a passing knowledge of the other girl, but she was curious to know how she was doing
