Rori wasn't sure she would ever stop being amused by the fact that Sloane seemed to claim her as hers. Of course she knew she ranked second on the list of claimed, the first slot belonging firmly and forever to Cody. She would be jealous, except it was hard to be jealous of her favorite sibling.

She smiled broadly as Sloane ran at her, bracing herself slightly for the familiar onslaught. "My Sloane," she replied happily, pleased to see her. Rori had always had a huge soft spot for Shosh's daughter. She reached down and easily picked the girl up, even though she was heavier than she used to be. "How is my favorite little cowgirl today?" She asked as she carried her back over to Shosh, leaning over to give her friend a one armed hug.

Sloane giggled happily as she was picked up, little arms going around Rori's neck as she peered at her favorite 'aunt'. "M'good, Mama let me go riding today. And she says we can go to the giraffes' first." The little girl rambled, grinning brightly at Rori. "How's you?" The four year old didn't exactly know what it meant to ask that, just that adults always asked her that, so it must be what you were supposed to do.

Returning Rori's hug, Shosh smiled at her friend. "Hey, you." She was never going to get her little girl to realize she was getting to be to carry when it seemed both Milburns would willingly pick the little girl up. "Sloane's never going to realize she has legs if everyone bends to her desire to be carried." Shosh teased lightly, having already figured it was a lost cause. "Oh, I ran into Ava on Sunday." Might as well get the apologizing over with before wandering the Zoo.

“Riding and giraffes, sounds like a good day in the making,” Rori said with a grin. “I want to see the zebras though. All those stripes!” she laughed quietly, touching the tip of her nose to the tip of Sloane’s fondly. “I’m very good, thank you for asking. Glad to get to spend time with you and your Momma,” she said cheerfully.

"Oh, we know she has legs," Rori said, jiggling Sloane lightly. "That's what you kick a horse with, right?" She grinned at both of them. "Oh really? I haven't had a chance to really catch up with her since she left on Sunday." She pushed her hair back. They had texted, usually did often enough, but they hadn't called or seen each other. "Did it go well?" She hoped if Ava had freaked out, her girlfriend would have called her.

Sloane went wide eyed and grinned. "Oh, can we ride giraffes?" The four year old asked excitedly, laughing as 'Her Rori' said she wanted to see the zebras. "Mama likes the zebras too, 'cause they look like horses." Sloane chattered away, tilting her head as she asked. "Can you ride zebras?" The little girl beamed and felt proud of herself for asking how 'Her Rori' was doing. "Mama says we don't see 'nuff of you, but she says that's her fault ( ... )
