So I've got this list...... )
She smiled broadly as Sloane ran at her, bracing herself slightly for the familiar onslaught. "My Sloane," she replied happily, pleased to see her. Rori had always had a huge soft spot for Shosh's daughter. She reached down and easily picked the girl up, even though she was heavier than she used to be. "How is my favorite little cowgirl today?" She asked as she carried her back over to Shosh, leaning over to give her friend a one armed hug.

Returning Rori's hug, Shosh smiled at her friend. "Hey, you." She was never going to get her little girl to realize she was getting to be to carry when it seemed both Milburns would willingly pick the little girl up. "Sloane's never going to realize she has legs if everyone bends to her desire to be carried." Shosh teased lightly, having already figured it was a lost cause. "Oh, I ran into Ava on Sunday." Might as well get the apologizing over with before wandering the Zoo.

"Oh, we know she has legs," Rori said, jiggling Sloane lightly. "That's what you kick a horse with, right?" She grinned at both of them. "Oh really? I haven't had a chance to really catch up with her since she left on Sunday." She pushed her hair back. They had texted, usually did often enough, but they hadn't called or seen each other. "Did it go well?" She hoped if Ava had freaked out, her girlfriend would have called her.

She laughed. "Yes, well, we're big strong Milburns, we can handle a four year old on our hips," she said.
Rori shook her head. "No, should she have?" she asked curiously as they went to buy their tickets. She supposed it couldn't have been that bad if Ava hadn't called her to mention it. "Well, you can be overwhelming to other people," she said absently. Shosh never overwhelmed her, but well, they were a lot alike. It was hard to do that to either of them. "That is good, yeah, I think." It would be amusing, at least, to get Ava's take on the conversation. "I am proud, yes. I'm glad it went so

Shosh gave her friend a look. "I don't doubt that, but are you two still going to try and pick her up when she's seven and so used to it that you can't say 'no'?" She was mostly just giving Rori a hard time, Shosh was just as much at fault for carrying her little girl around as the next person.
Shrugging, Shosh shook her head. "Not sure, she seemed kind of uncomfortable." And Shosh didn't know Ava well enough to know if that was just her general way of being or not. "True, I can be." And most times She actually used that to keep some people away. "So anyway, if she does say anything, I'm terribly sorry." Shosh continued with a faint smile. "Who knew I could hold me tongue, right?"

"I don't know, Ross at least seemed to positively preen in front of the cameras," Rori said dryly. Some people really liked the limelight--Rori on the other hand only liked the limelight of the winner's circle.
"Ha, yeah. Not believing that one, but you can think it," she said with a faint grin. She adored her brother, though she would admit both he and her friend had flaws.
"I don't mind, honest," Rori told her. "I mean, I can try the best I can, is all. I promise I'll do that." And she would, she wanted her friend to be happy. "It's not like we've had too much time for relationships, really." At least not til recently. "I wish he were too. I know I'm not much help. It's just... you guys should make time for each other," she said somewhat helplessly. "At least, I think you should, if you want something more."
