Date: August 22, 2011 Characters: Jasper Woods, Demi Turner, Abby Walker (NPC) Location: Jasper's apartment Status: Private Summary: Jasper has Abby for the day and thinks it's time she met Demi. Completion: Complete
Demi sat in a coffee shop not too far from Jasper's apartment, tearing a napkin into tiny squares as she waited for Jasper to either call or text her. He'd told her about what time they'd be at the apartment and she was glad for that, because otherwise she would have been at this place since six am when she woke up.
She'd changed her clothes eight times before finally settling on a light sundress to combat the heat. She'd pulled her hair into a french braid before leaving the house, wishing Meg had been around to talk to. It felt like she never saw her sister anymore, despite living in the same house.
Demi jumped slightly when her phone finally rang with Jasper's ringtone and she read the text while biting her lip. Just down the street at the coffee shop. Be right there, she sent back before finishing her iced mocha

Jasper read Demi's text and couldn't help but smile. "Demi's going to come on over and hang out with us," he told Abby. And he wasn't going to feel nervous about it. He had to keep his confidence in the fact that they would like each other and everything would work out. He just had to believe that.
"Okay!" Abby said, popping a chip in her mouth.
It didn't take long for the knock to sound at the door, though Jasper felt a moment of surprise that she'd knocked. He supposed he should have anticipated she'd do that, but he hadn't. Before he had a chance to get up, Abby was already up and running over to the door.
"Hey, hey now, don't answer that!" Wow, that moment of panic had been completely unexpected. "You don't know who's on the other side!"
"But you said Demi was coming over!" Abby protested with her hand on the door handle
( ... )
Demi smiled softly at Jasper, reaching for his hand and giving it a small squeeze of understanding when he didn't give her their traditional hello kiss. "Hey, Jasp," she said quietly, worrying her lip between her teeth. God, she loved him, and these next few moments could make or break them

Jasper smiled and squeezed her hand back, relieved that she didn't seem upset by the lack of usual greeting. He couldn't help but wonder how long it would be before it would be appropriate for him to greet Demi with a kiss in front of Abby. Was there even a rule on that? He wasn't even sure who he should ask
