"You know, I did hear this rumor that Mr. Playboy himself has been turning into more of a workaholic then a playboy," Brendon mused. "Just never thought it was actually true." Brendon got to work on Grahams customary drink and slid it over to him. "Glad to hear that things are getting back to normal. How is Shosh doing?"
Brendon took a drink from his water. "I've been doing very well. Getting away from the Hawthorne a little more. It appears that our roles have been reversed. He grinned at the thought of the two bickering even at a wedding or special event. "Yes, there is that. That in itself would be the hardest part. Convincing her that you are serious and not full of crap."
"This is why I am not a salesman, yeah? And why I did not make it in retail and yet despite it, I own a business," he mused teasingly. He grabbed a glass, filled it with ice before filling it with coke.

Brendon blinked and quirked his lips up in a smirk. "I do believe those were the words that came out of my mouth, yes." He chuckled and poured himself another glass of water before taking care of two drink orders as he responded. "Good - you need a woman who is immune to your charms. Can't have 'em easy all the time, yeah?" he asked, teasing. Part of what made him wonder about the man's feelings for Courtney was the fact that he continued to ask her out even after years of being turned down. He'd really have to see how this played out after the two had been apart for so long ( ... )
