"I don't know, it's a nice night," he said as she paid up for their dinner. He liked to think of himself as a progressive guy, and probably Molly would smack him anyway if he tried to take the bill from her, but he was going to grab drinks later if they got them, so it was all good. "Why don't we walk around a little? See what we can see."
He smiled as they finished up and stood. Angel Abbey was cool, and it was where he and Molly had met, as well. Not that he cared what they did together. It was nice just having time to go out. "Honestly, not having a plan sounds pretty good right now. I've been scheduled out lately. Thanks for not forgetting what I look like, by the way," he joked, hustling forward to grab the door for her.
"Walking is good," Molly agreed as they left the restaurant. "Might give me a chance to digest some of that food." Molly grinned and grabbed the door after she'd passed through it, holding it from the outside for Aaron as he exited.
"Yeah, it was a bit touch and go there for awhile," she teased. "I'm the one who should be grateful you remembered me. Sixty hour weeks are not doing it for me anymore." Aaron had been working just as hard, if not harder, in the last few months. Molly knew he was excited about his progress professionally, but also knew he was really busy. "Anything interesting happening at the Weekly lately?"
"It's kind of ridiculous, seeing as we're in the same building. If anyone should be able to work around a busy schedule it should be us." There'd been lots of emails though, and dropping things off at her door, and quick snogs in the elevator--his personal favorite. "You're not getting burned out on all those hours though, are you? Sixty hours... I think I take my desk job for granted sometimes."
He shrugged, pulling a face even as he took her hand in his. "Not really," he admitted. "No heavy-hitting reporting, or if there is I don't get to do it, I just arrange it neatly on the website. But it pays the bills."
"Yeah, it is a little ludicrous." They'd stayed over at each others places a handful of times, but nothing more frequent. Molly was fine with that, as she knew once they started staying together more frequently, things would speed up emotionally. She wasn't opposed to that at all, but she didn't want to be the one to push that, either
