RP: Friday Night Lighting Up

Alex ducked back into the kitchen for a moment, checking to see that everyone was able to stay on top of the orders rolling in. Some of the staff he’d hired were fairly new to their careers, but so far he’d not regretted any of his hires. Grinning, he went back to the bar, pitching in to the orders some of the waitstaff were bringing over. If things slowed even for a minute, he’d start making the rounds. It was one of his favorite things to do (ok, so there was little to do with AA he didn’t like, really); he got to meet the clientele, get some direct feedback, and hopefully win their regular patronage.
It was a cold day in January, right at the start of Buck and Bull, as he thought of the Stock Show and Rodeo. There was more than the usual amount of cowboy boots there, and a fair few cowboy hats. He thought whimsically that instead of a coatroom he’d need to add a hat room, since there wasn’t a lot of places a man could keep his hat at the tables. Not to mention it made it hard to see around people. He pondered that thought while mentally composing his to-do list for the upcoming week, when it was sure to be crowded.
