Marie cursed quietly to herself and pulled her gray scarf a little higher over her face when she felt a cold breeze roll by. She hated this kind of weather and hoped that it warmed up a little for the Stockyards tomorrow. Texas weather seemed to have it out for public events though, so Marie wasn't too hopeful.
She'd worry about that tomorrow though because now she was more worried about her comics. Jay had ordered issue #9 of American Vampire on Sunday and she was a whole day late picking it up. Well, she thought to herself, I guess there wasn't really a set time for me to pick it up... The thought still didn't make Marie feel any less rude, and she sped up to a brisk walk when she saw the sign for Oddball 42.
The sound of the Batman themed door chime as she pushed open the doors was music to her ears.
